When you think about ESSEC Asia-Pacific, glossy brochures and program pages might come to mind. But behind every course and campus photo are real students who bring the ESSEC experience to life: our Student Ambassadors.

As Ethan Delaunay, ESSEC Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) student puts it, “Being a Student Ambassador at ESSEC is your gateway to putting your learning into practice, while making a genuine impact on the development of your school.” This captures the dual value of the role – personal growth for the ambassadors and meaningful contributions to the ESSEC community.

These ambassadors don’t just share information. They embody what it means to live and learn at ESSEC, offering prospective students, alumni, and partners a genuine view into life on campus and in Singapore.

Representing ESSEC With Pride

Student Ambassadors are the welcoming face of ESSEC at open houses, webinars, corporate visits, and more. They share personal stories about their programs, career aspirations, and what drew them to study in Singapore.

Oscar Valeur, a Master in Marketing Management and Digital (MMD) student, shared, “This role is particularly meaningful to me, as I was inspired by the guidance and support of last year’s ambassador.” It’s a cycle of giving back. Students who were once unsure now find themselves mentoring others through the same journey.

Developing Real-World Skills

While representing ESSEC, ambassadors sharpen key professional skills. From public speaking training sessions to handling live Q&As with future students, they build confidence, communication, and leadership abilities that go far beyond academic learning.

Building Cross-Cultural Connections

The Student Ambassador program is intentionally diverse. Students from the Global BBA, Master in Management (MiM), Master in Strategy & Management of International Business (SMIB), MMD, and Master in Finance (MiF) programs come together with different goals, stories, and strengths. The exchange of ideas across disciplines and cultures helps ambassadors grow personally while deepening their understanding of global business and teamwork.

This year’s cohort is ESSEC Asia-Pacific’s largest yet, selected from 82 applications. The overwhelming response speaks to the student community’s enthusiasm and willingness to contribute.

Gaining Unique Opportunities

Beyond events and campus tours, ambassadors also take part in exclusive workshops, industry networking opportunities, and leadership projects. These experiences give them insider perspectives into business and early access to opportunities many only see after graduation.

It’s not uncommon for ambassadors to forge strong connections with ESSEC alumni, recruiters, and faculty. These relationships often lead to internships, mentorships, or even job offers.

Beyond the Brochures

Being an ambassador isn’t just about speaking on behalf of the school. It’s about discovering your voice, growing your network, and leaving a mark on the ESSEC community.

As we welcome our largest group, we’re excited to see how each ambassador will shape the ESSEC experience for others and themselves.

Interested in becoming an ambassador or meeting one? Don’t be surprised if they’re the first to say hello at your next campus visit. That’s what ESSEC is all about: connections that go far beyond the brochure.
