The ESSEC APAC edible garden has had an eventful year in 2024, marked by new crops, events for faculty and staff, and an increasing number of visitors.
Now, students are getting involved! In November, a group of students harvested produce from the garden for the first time.
They are members of the newly formed Sustainability Club. We look forward to their future contributions to the edible garden as they help expand its impact and sustainability efforts.
In a new development, ESSEC has also launched an edible garden donation initiative to expand the impact of our harvest beyond our campus.
Starting in November 2024, ESSEC is donating the garden’s organic produce once a month to Child at Street 11, a vegetarian preschool that provides early childhood education and care for 50 children across all income levels and learning abilities.
Child at Street 11 adopts a Reggio-inspired learning approach, nurturing children’s self-reliance, confidence, security, and emotional resilience.
With the garden’s harvest, ESSEC will help the preschool provide healthy, high-quality meals to its children, supporting their growth and well-being.
We are proud to see our edible garden thrive as a hub for community, sustainability, and giving. Here’s to continued growth in the years to come.
